Volleyball Recap: Spartanburg Christian Academy Comes Up Short

The Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors came up short against the Asheville Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-13.

Rachel Bass was the offensive standout of the game as she had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. Olivia Johnson also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Spartanburg Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Asheville Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spartanburg Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakbrook Prep at 5:00 p.m. on September 15. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they will take on Polk County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
