West Hills is a perfect 6-0 against El Capitan since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wolf Pack will venture away from home to challenge the Vaqueros at 4:00 p.m. West Hills' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so El Capitan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

West Hills is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Steele Canyon just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Kristina Deal was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Katy Spargo, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, El Capitan was able to grind out a solid victory over Helix on Monday, taking the game 5-1.

Makenna Burton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brynlie Ford, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Gabrielle Garcia was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

El Capitan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Hills, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 13-8-1.

West Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against El Capitan in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolf Pack since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
