Vardaman gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past the Independence Wildcats 6-5. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Taylen Carter was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Jack Moore, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Vardaman now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Independence, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vardaman will face off against West Union at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they will welcome Senatobia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Independence is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
