Basketball Recap: Mountlake Terrace Takes a Loss

Mountlake Terrace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Meadowdale Mavericks 54-13. The matchup marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jaliyah Dyson was Mountlake Terrace's leading scorer, having posted five points. Jordyn Stokes held things down on the boards with three rebounds.

Meadowdale was led to victory by Mia Brockmeyer and Kyairra Roussin. Brockmeyer dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards, while Roussin almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Roussin is now averaging an impressive 8.5 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Audrey Lucas, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Mountlake Terrace's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Meadowdale, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Mountlake Terrace didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-49 loss against Shorewood on the 29th. As for Meadowdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 77-37 victory against Lynnwood on the 27th.
