Basketball Recap: Galt Takes a Loss

Galt was the 70-51 winner over Bret Harte when they last played one another back in November of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Galt Warriors had to suffer through a 68-25 loss at the hands of the Bret Harte Bullfrogs. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1283rd, while the Bullfrogs are ranked 513th).

Galt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Bret Harte, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Galt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Bret Harte, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hughson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bret Harte's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
