Volleyball Game Preview: ALA - Anthem South Titans vs. Gilbert Christian Knights

ALA - Anthem South hasn't had much luck against Gilbert Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Titans will head out to square off against the Knights at 5:30 p.m.

ALA - Anthem South is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 22nd straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against ALA - Ironwood, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Gilbert Christian waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win.

Gilbert Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 26-24.

Gilbert Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for ALA - Anthem South, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

ALA - Anthem South suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Gilbert Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
