Volleyball Recap: Cathedral Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cathedral walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Heritage Christian Eagles on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Fighting Irish also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Jaden Greenwell paced Cathedral's offense, picking up nine kills. Greenwell got some help from Nick Whitley and his 20 assists. Jake Werne controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The victory was the third in a row for Cathedral, bringing their record up to 28-5. As for Heritage Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

After both having extra time off, Cathedral and Center Grove will shake off the rust and duke it out at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight. Heritage Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
