The Denver West Cowboys are taking a road trip to square off against the DSST: College View Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Denver West is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.5 points per game this season.
Last Friday, Denver West came up short against DSST: Green Valley Ranch and fell 51-40. While the Cowboys didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raptors 16-12 in the first quarter.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jaheim Taylor, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. He has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Parker, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, DSST: College View came tearing into Monday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 43-30. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Wolverines are ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
DSST: College View's win came from a few key players Denver West will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isaias Tomita, who almost dropped a triple-double with ten boards, nine assists, and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Craig Johnson, who put up eight points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.
Denver West's defeat dropped their record down to 16-2. As for DSST: College View, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3.
Wednesday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Denver West has been crazy accurate this season, having nailed 56.2% of their shots per game. However, it's not like DSST: College View struggles in that department as they've nailed 53.5% of their field goals this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Denver West didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against DSST: College View when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-59 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was DSST: College View's Joshua Sosa, who went 11 of 15 on his way to 23 points and five boards.
