Max Webb was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Port Washington is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-11 otherwise. Webb was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Webb wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Bergin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Port Washington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Luke LaLonde was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Port Washington, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
