Basketball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Whitewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 80-64 to the Delavan-Darien Comets. The Whippets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Comets earlier this season, when they won 82-70.

Whitewater's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Delavan-Darien, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-15.

Coming up, Whitewater will welcome Big Foot at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitewater is facing Big Foot at the right time seeing as Big Foot is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Delavan-Darien has already played their next game (against Brodhead), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
