Baker won the last time they faced Foley and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets breezed past the Lions to the tune of 41-9. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Lions are ranked 92nd).

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jailen Wheeler and Gavin Wood. Wheeler rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries while Wood gained 90 total yards and two touchdowns. Wheeler is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Baker and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Foley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Baker has already played their next game, a 43-28 win against Mary G. Montgomery on the 17th. As for Foley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 25-7 loss against Davidson on the 16th.
