Even though the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the Clyde Fliers still came out on top. Clyde managed a 64-59 victory over St. Joseph Central Catholic. That's two games straight that Clyde has won by exactly five points.
Among those leading the charge was Katie Shiets, who scored 20 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Clyde's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Liskai, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Clyde and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clyde will take on Margaretta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Old Fort at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
