Recap: Northeast Guilford Rams vs. Williams Bulldogs
The Northeast Guilford Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williams. Northeast Guilford has not had much luck with Williams recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Williams' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordyn Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Scout Winter, who scored 14 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds.
Northeast Guilford has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Williams, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Guilford will square off against Southern Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to square off against Southern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
