Soccer Recap: Walnut Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Walnut has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 2-0 to the Bishop Amat Lancers on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly two goals.

Walnut suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 6-2-2. As for Bishop Amat, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1-2.

Walnut will venture away from home to challenge Ayala at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ayala is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season. As for Bishop Amat, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Cajon on the 3rd.
