Softball Recap: Mount Pleasant Takes a Loss

Mount Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-4 to the Union Academy Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-4 defeat last Friday.

Mount Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Union Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 20-0.

Mount Pleasant has already played their next matchup (against Cox Mill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Union Academy, they will head out to square off against South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rowdy Rebel Bulls have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
