Basketball Recap: Paramus Comes Up Short

After flying high against Passaic last Saturday, Paramus came back down to earth. The Paramus Spartans were outmatched by the Ridgewood Maroons and fell 67-24. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Maroons are ranked 22nd).

Paramus dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Ridgewood, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Paramus has already played their next matchup (against St. Joseph Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ridgewood has already played their next game, a 58-24 victory against Fair Lawn on the 23rd.
