Softball Recap: Williamsville South Falls Short of Miller Place in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Williamsville South couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-0 to the Miller Place Panthers on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Billies were not able to get on the board.

Alyssa Budzinski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits.

Williamsville South moved to 16-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Miller Place, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.
