Baseball Recap: Green Canyon Takes a Loss

Green Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northridge Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Green Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Northridge, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Canyon will venture away from home to face off against Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northridge, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bonneville at 3:00 p.m. on April 7. Northridge's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bonneville has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
