Softball Recap: Craig County Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside, Craig County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 15-11 victory over the Narrows Green Waves. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rockets needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Craig County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Narrows, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Craig County will take on Eastern Montgomery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. As for Narrows, they will head out to challenge Bath County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
