Basketball Game Preview: Milton Yellowjackets vs. Mt. Abraham Eagles

Milton is 0-10 against Mt. Abraham since February of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Milton Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Mt. Abraham Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Milton comes in on three and Mt. Abraham on four.

Milton will bounce into Monday's game after beating Colchester, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Milton came out on top against Colchester by a score of 42-32 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Mt. Abraham faced Middlebury in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Mt. Abraham narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Middlebury 36-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since February 15, 2024.

Mt. Abraham's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Milton, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Milton came up short against Mt. Abraham in their previous matchup on February 1st, falling 54-46. Can Milton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
