Bunn extended the longest winning streak in 2A Northern Carolina this week by beating Northwest Halifax, 56-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Corinth Holders was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. Corinth Holders defeated Warren County 40-36 earlier in the week.
Barry Honeycutt's team's Kenneth Collins and Hampton Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Collins has thrown for 1971 yards this season, while Smith has 41 catches for 654 yards. Jaquan Jones from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 819 yards.
Corinth Holders' Collins is within 29 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against North Johnston.
