Soccer Game Preview: Celina vs. Davenport

The Celina Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Davenport Wolves at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Celina will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Celina's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Stephenville by a score of 2-0. The Bobcats' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Ryleigh Stifflemire and Taylor McMillan scored both of Celina's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Davenport was forced to settle for a draw. They and LEE finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Celina's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. Davenport's draw makes their record 2-0-1 this season.
