Baseball Recap: St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs vs. Reedsville Panthers
St. Mary Catholic was the 4-0 winner over Reedsville when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs fell victim to a tough 10-2 loss at the hands of the Reedsville Panthers on Monday.
Colin Nigl made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Ernsting, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Even though they lost, St. Mary Catholic didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with ten strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reedsville only tossed four.
