Englewood was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Arrupe Jesuit on Monday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Generals. With that victory, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

David Claveria was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Yandel Munoz, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Englewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Englewood back to even at 4-4. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Coming up, Englewood will square off against Arvada at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-0 loss against SkyView Academy on the 8th.
