Person and McMichael are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Rockets will take on the Phoenix at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Person comes in on six and McMichael on eight.

Person had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Croatan on Tuesday. The Rockets' pitcher stepped up to hand the Cougars a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Rockets have won five games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Norris made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025.

Norris wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kasen Berry, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

McMichael came out on top against West Carteret on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Phoenix sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Patriots.

Person's record now sits at 9-3. As for McMichael, their record is now 14-2.

Person skirted past McMichael 5-4 in their previous meeting back in June of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
