South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind extends home losing streak to six

Recap: South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets vs. Dixie Hornets

This season hasn't been kind to the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 39-13 walloping at the hands of Dixie on Thursday. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind has not had much luck with Dixie recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Dixie found their leader in underclassman Jaylia Turner, who scored 12 points along with five steals. Kerri O'Shields was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and four steals.

South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dixie, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind will take on Whitmire at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitmire is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Dixie, they will be playing at home against Thornwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thornwell comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
