Volleyball Recap: Cherry Creek Gets the Win

Cherry Creek saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mountain View Mountain Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Cherry Creek found their leader in freshman Liam Lee, who had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Lee. Kieryn Milligan also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Cherry Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Cherry Creek's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Mountain View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Cherry Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Centaurus on the 19th. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Boulder on the 19th.
