Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piedmont). They strolled past the Northwest Classen Knights with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 86-67. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Knights are ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piedmont is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Northwest Classen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Piedmont will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Choctaw at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Northwest Classen, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-52 defeat against Broken Arrow on the 31st.
