After a string of nine wins, Trinity Episcopal's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 7-3 to the Collegiate Cougars. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jalen German put in work no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

German wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Taegan Logan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Trinity Episcopal's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-2. As for Collegiate, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Coming up, Trinity Episcopal will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. Collegiate will be paying especially close attention to Trinity Episcopal's contest: after Trinity Episcopal faces off against Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they'll take on Collegiate again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
