Worland took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Pinedale, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wranglers 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Worland was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Pinedale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Remedios Mata had 17 digs.

Worland's victory bumped their record up to 7-12-1. As for Pinedale, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-15-1.

Worland has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Mountain View on the 1st. Pinedale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
