Football Recap: South Effingham Sets Scoring Season-High Against Greenbrier + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but South Effingham ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 34-28 W over the Greenbrier Wolfpack. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Khyran White, who rushed for 270 yards and one TD while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. He has become a key player for South Effingham: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Liam Coburn was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Effingham was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 352 rushing yards. They are 2-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

When it comes to explaining why Greenbrier lost, don't look at Parker Brantley. Despite the final result, he threw for 142 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 96 yards and one TD.

South Effingham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Greenbrier, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
