Baseball Recap: Northwest Webster Comes Up Short

Northwest Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Valley Jaguars. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northwest Webster's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Southeast Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northwest Webster will challenge rival South Central Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Southeast Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe West Bend-Mallard at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars are on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and the Wolverines a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
