Edmond Memorial waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Southmoore SaberCats 60-23. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the SaberCats are ranked 336th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edmond Memorial had a senior duo take command as Janiyah Williams went 9-for-16 on her way to 23 points and seven rebounds and Avery Hjelmstad went 10-for-23 to rack up 23 points along with seven boards and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Edmond Memorial's points. Brooklyn Aska was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Edmond Memorial smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Edmond Memorial's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Southmoore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Edmond Memorial has already played their next game, an 89-23 win against Grant on the 14th. As for Southmoore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-9 loss against Mustang on the 14th.
