Football Recap: Woodsboro Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Woodsboro and Agua Dulce had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles lost 28-6 to the Longhorns on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost three in a row.

Jordan Vega threw for 127 yards and one TD on only 11 passes. Amarian Zambezi was his top target, picking up 102 receiving yards.

Woodsboro's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Agua Dulce, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Coincidentally, Woodsboro and Agua Dulce will both be playing Ben Bolt the next time they take the field. The Longhorns will host the Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
