Soccer Game Preview: Fairfax vs. Carl Hayden Community

The Fairfax Stampede will face off against the Carl Hayden Community Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfax is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Fairfax is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Metro Tech just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to the Knights. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Stampede couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Kevin Sonnah, who's now up to 13 this season.

Meanwhile, Carl Hayden Community had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They never let the Mustangs onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

Carl Hayden Community's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1-1. As for Fairfax, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1.
