Baseball Recap: Keene's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Keene's offense. They came up short against the Pinkerton Astros on Wednesday, falling 17-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Blackbirds in their meetings with the Astros: they've now lost seven in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Keene fell to 5-1. As for Pinkerton, the victory was the 14th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Keene will be playing at home against Exeter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blackbirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Hawks have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Pinkerton, they will head out on the road to face off against Portsmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
