Softball Recap: North Union Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

North Union lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Eagle Grove, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's match. The Warriors blew past the Eagles 11-5 on Wednesday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 9-7 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.

The win (which was North Union's third in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Eagle Grove, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

North Union wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-3 defeat against Algona on the 12th. As for Eagle Grove, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Central Springs on the 12th.
