It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Corner Canyon had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Lone Peak Knights 2-1. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Cooper Varner paced Corner Canyon's offense, picking up 14 kills. Varner got some help from Archer Burke and his 32 assists. Burke also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Phillip Mayer, racking up two apiece.
Corner Canyon's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Lone Peak, their loss dropped their record down to 21-9.
As of now, neither Corner Canyon nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
