Softball Recap: Archbishop Wood Comes Up Short

Archbishop Wood was the 5-1 winner over Conwell-Egan Catholic when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell 5-1 to the Eagles on Tuesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Archbishop Wood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Siegfried, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Archbishop Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Wood will face off against Cardinal O'Hara at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Conwell-Egan Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
