Orr has gone 4-0 against Schurz recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 5:00 p.m.
Orr is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Wells just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Raiders.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Prince Williams, who posted nine points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayvon Holman, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schurz). They blew past Austin College and Career Academy, posting a 76-34 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Orr better keep an eye on MICHAEL CHANEY JR. He was instrumental in Schurz's win, going 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points in addition to six assists and six steals. CHANEY JR has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was KAMARION FAGAIRO, who went 6 for 9 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.
Schurz was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Schurz has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Orr, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Orr has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Schurz struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Orr didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Schurz in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orr since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
