The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lyman Hall, who defeated 117th ranked Branford, 24-21. Koby Mensah ran for 118 yards and caught 1 pass for 29 yards in the win.

Law lost to Guilford 63-28 last week, the largest margin of any game. Giovanni Marzullo was a bright spot for the Lawmen, as he threw for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 42 yards in the defeat.

Joe Nault was a beast in the backfield as the Indians bested Law.

Nault was a passing and rushing force as Guilford bested Mark Robinson's team. He completed 2 passes for 71 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 218 yards. Nault's favorite target this week was Anthony Pensa, who caught 2 passes for 71 yards.

Nault was the best running back in Southern Connecticut Division II - West this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 218 yards as Thomas Unger's team topped the Lawmen. David Knapp also contributed to the rushing game with 179 yards on the ground.

The Trojans' Kyle Smith and Jerry Rodriguez led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Smith has thrown for 973 yards this season, while Rodriguez has 25 catches for 455 yards. Hillhouse's Harold Cooper leads the league in rushing yards with 1,151.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Guilford takes on second place Hillhouse. Last week, the Indians bested Law, while the Academics lost to North Haven.

Guilford's Knapp is a mere 16 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 126 carries Knapp has accumulated 984 yard this year.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Indians take on Reggie Lytle's team. Guilford has allowed 188 points this season, while the Academics have given up 200. The Indians allowed 28 points last week as they defeated the Lawmen.

There should be lots of points scored when Guilford and Hillhouse face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Indians comes in having scored 238 this season, while the Academics have scored 209. Guilford scored 63 points last week as it topped Law.

Lyman Hall made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,171 from 11,586. The improvement was largely due to a 24-21 victory over the Hornets last week.
