Robinson and Richland County are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Maroons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Richland County will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Robinson extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. Everything went the Maroons' way against Dugger Union as they made off with an 18-3 victory. The Maroons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Blake Green was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Brody Baker was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Robinson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Richland County suffered their closest defeat since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Casey-Westfield by a score of 6-4. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Gavin Root was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Robinson pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Richland County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
