Basketball Recap: Grant Cougars vs. Northwood Gators
Grant kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell to the Northwood Gators 47-41. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Grant lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kenzie Pepper, who posted 18 points. Carleigh Roe was another key player, posting eight points in addition to nine rebounds and two steals.
Grant won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pineville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwood, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Holy Savior Menard at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
