Baseball Recap: Westmont's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Westmont waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Families of Faith Christian Academy Screaming Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Rocco Damato was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Chinea, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Westmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Westmont pushed their record up to 17-8-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Families of Faith Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Westmont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Ida Crown Jewish Academy on the 29th. Families of Faith Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
