Volleyball Game Preview: Fillmore Flashes vs. Thacher Toads

The Fillmore Flashes will venture away from home to take on the Thacher Toads at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fillmore will be strutting in after a win while Thacher will be coming in after a loss.

Fillmore was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Carpinteria 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Flashes as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Thacher came up short against Foothill Tech on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Toads have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 23-25, 25-8.

Thacher's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Fillmore, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Fillmore might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Thacher in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Can the Flashes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
