Soccer Game Preview: New Trier vs. Whitefish Bay

The New Trier Trevians will square off against the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Trier's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, New Trier and Glenbrook North finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw.

Gordon Evans and Tim Vaughan scored both of the Trevians' goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Whitefish Bay entered their tilt with Cedarburg on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 4-0 shutout. Give Whitefish Bay's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

With that draw, New Trier's record moves to 5-4-2. As for Whitefish Bay, their win bumped their record up to 7-1-1.

New Trier was able to grind out a solid victory over Whitefish Bay in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Trevians repeat their success, or do the Blue Dukes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
