Volleyball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Has No Trouble Against Willow

Benjamin Franklin won the last time they faced Willow and things went their way on Monday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Benjamin Franklin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22, 25-10.

Among those leading the charge was Maleah Leal, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last five matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Benjamin Franklin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Willow only served six.

When it comes to explaining why Willow lost, don't look at Chloe West. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and two assists. West is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Benjamin Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Willow, their loss ended a nine-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.

Benjamin Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against John Curtis Christian on the 7th. As for Willow, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Warren Easton on the 8th.
