Gaston Day had already won seven in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hickory Grove Christian Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gaston Day was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 25-19.

Gaston Day's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
