Football Recap: Providence Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hickory Ridge last Friday, Providence came back down to earth. The Panthers were beaten by the East Lincoln Mustangs 55-24 on Friday.

Providence's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Lincoln, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Providence will head out on the road to square off against Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Lincoln, they will welcome Newton-Conover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
