Basketball Recap: Lakes International Language Academy Comes Up Short

Lakes International Language Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Lakes Academy Huskies, falling 63-43. Lakes International Language Academy was probably out for revenge after losing 61-60 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakes International Language Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for North Lakes Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Lakes International Language Academy will venture away from home to face off against New Life Academy at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. New Life Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. North Lakes Academy and Maple Lake will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. North Lakes Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Maple Lake likes a good challenge.
